How does someone
find the time, courage--or the sheer nerve--to sit down and write a
book? Most authors will tell you: they didn't really feel they had a
choice. Sometimes, the book just has to be
written. It's been that way for me. For many years, too many
to count, I have been drawn to writing. And for those same years, friends,
family, colleagues and even my own boss used to tell me that I should be
writing a book.
Finally, I sat down to do it. And what came out was my
very nervy first book, The Writing Coach's Guide to FINALLY Writing a
Book! Seriously, who would ever think to write their first book by telling
other people how to write THEIR first books? I wrote it, not as an expert in
the publishing field or even an expert as a writer, but as a coach -- a field
in which I had many years of expertise in guiding and supporting others as they
worked to achieve big dreams and goals. And what could be bigger than wanting
to write a book?
Here's some of what I've been up to in the past decade,
writing-wise:

My second book,
It's Always
the Last Place You Look, is an inspirational and humorous memoir
based on my decision to uproot my life and move to Paris in my mid-40s.
I am actively seeking representation for this
book! If you are a literary agent or publisher, please contact me to discuss this
project. |

The Writing
Coach's Guide to FINALLY Writing Your Book! (2007) I created this
book to coach aspiring authors from "wannabee published" to "Author!
Author!" With a straightforward 8-step process, this unique book will guide the
timid, uncertain or procrastinating writer to move beyond the obstacles that
are getting in the way of writing and FINISHING their first book. You can't
sell it if you don't write it! |
