Ghostwriter, at your service!

Your Writing PartnerWhen you need the services of an experienced professional writer to "ghost" your book or article, let me help you get the "write" edge!

I provide ghostwriting services to aspiring authors who don't have the time or expertise to do the writing work themselves. It's very common to outsource writing work to a ghostwriter, so don't feel awkward about seeking outside assistance with your writing project.

Although I am open to considering a collaboration on almost anhy non-fiction topic, I am most interested in the genres of: business, how-to, self-help/personal development, spirituality, memoir/biography and travel narrative.

I prefer to select writing projects that have themes or messages that are enlightening, inspirational, uplifting, healthy, educational or just plain entertaining. I am not interested in writing about subjects or personal stories for the purposes of sensationalizing situations or exploiting others, or purely for the financial gain of myself or my client. Ghostwriting Your Book
Do you have a book hiding within you, waiting to get out? Ghostwriters frequently help people turn their book ideas into reality. Whether you have had an offer from a publisher to write a book, or you want to self-publish in print or via e-book, you don't need to wait any longer simply because the idea of writing a book feels too overwhelming! With me as your "ghost", your book will go from just a glimmer of an idea in your mind, to something others can enjoy and benefit from for years!

Fees: start at $12,000 and can exceed upwards of $30,000 depending upon factors such as the size of the book, the amount of research required, how much work the client has done in advance, the complexity of the subject, matter, and more. If you are open to giving me a by-line, a discount will be applied to the project estimate. See complete fee schedule here.
Don't know how big your book will be? Read: "How Big is My Book?"
A 50% deposit is typically required in advance, with additional payments due at project milestones (for example, upon delivery of the first draft); the balance is due within 10 business days of delivery of the final manuscript. In some cases I will agree to a regular monthly payment after an up-front deposit has been made. Major credit cards are accepted, as are checks and wire transfers. Sorry, but I do not work on "spec" (i.e. on the hope of future publication or for a share of royalties only) so please don't ask.

Ghostwriting Articles
Why pass up an opportunity to publish an article in your professional area of expertise, just because you don't have the time or ability to write it yourself? Magazines, newspapers and web publications are always looking for timely and fresh material, and being published helps you expand your professional credentials. Working with a ghostwriter on an article is a common occurrence these days. If you are invited to write an article, don't pass up the opportunity because you don't enjoy writing. If you have an article concept you want to develop and pitch to a magazine or newspaper, why not go for it? All you need to make it happen is a creative writing partner to collaborate with you -- it will be fun and easy, and SO rewarding! Contact me to discuss your project and get a price estimate.

Past Projects:
-- writing a series of articles for a marketing firm in Vancouver, British Columbia
-- articles for a newsletter published by an executive coach in New Jersey

Samples:
-- Article on Effectiveness - I was invited to write this original article for this trade publication after the editor read one of my coaching newsletter articles on a similar topic and loved my perspective on becoming more effective. If I can write to establish expertise for myself -- and I have, many times -- I can do the same for YOU!
-- The BEFORE and AFTER of an article I ghostwrote for a therapist and three-time published author who wanted to write for a magazine but who previously had experience writing only for his academic peer group. My challenge was to take his rough notes, combined with live interviews with the client, and find the right angle and "voice" for the material that would be acceptable to the editor of a mainstream publication. The client was thrilled with the final result!
-- Newsletter article for business coach - wrote/edited content using rough notes from client
